“A Noble Cause” Thanks You!
What a perfect way to spend Armed Forces Day – putting together packages for our military! We sent 16 packages stateside and 10 packages overseas to 22 of our hometown heroes!
We have a lot of people to thank: American Legion Post 193 for allowing us to use the hall for our “Noble Cause” Drive; Sweet Treat Bakery for the 70 dozen shrink wrapped assorted cookies; New England Woodenware for our OWC Toy Town boxes for the stateside packages; Blue Star Mothers – Leominster Chapter for the Texas Roadhouse Gift Cards; Robinson Broadhurst Inc. for our grant to help pay for doing this project 4 times per year; Will Brown for being the host of our website: www.winchendoncares.com and the 2 amazing employees at the Post Office who were so helpful (sorry that I didn’t get your names!).
If it wasn’t for all of the people who take the time to stop by or send in their donations, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do.
Thank you to the following: Nancy Best, Joni & Bill Gorecki, Julie & James Holly, Tony LaPointe, Alex LeBlanc, The Maine Family, Penny Maliska, Bethany & Steve McCormick, Mrs. Barrett’s Class, Mrs. Delanskey’s Class, Mrs. Duprey’s Class, Mrs. Fleming’s Class, Mrs. LeBlanc’s Class, Mrs. Musgrove’s Class, Mrs. Peczka’s Class, Debbie Pesce, Mark Robichaud, Stephanie Rondeau & Phil Davidson, Tina Santos, Kelsey Schultz & the Winchendon Girl Scouts, Cathy Sevigny & Precious Times Daycare, David Sevigny and John & Barbara Walker.
“Many hands make light work”, so an extra special “thank you goes to Phil Davidson, Joni Gorecki, Julie Holly, Alex LeBlanc, Stephanie Rondeau and Cathy Sevigny.
If I missed anyone, please let me know as it was not intentional.
Please mark your calendars for Saturday, August 3rd for our next event – Project Generosity! If there is someone in the military, with a tie to Winchendon, please reach out to us so that we can get his/her name added to our list!
